The aims of GAM
The Musical
Acoustics Group was born in 1992, during the XXI
Congress of the Italian Association of Acoustics, in Praglia, close to Padua.
The aims of the Musical
Acoustics Group, within the Italian Association of
Acoustics, is "to increase and diffuse
the knowledge and the application of Science and Technology on all the
fields of the Music".
The main goal of the Musical
Acoustics Group is based on the idea that whereas the
Acoustics could stands without the Music, the Music cannot stands without
the Acoustics.
The main fields in which the Musical
Acoustics Group is involved are:
- Physics and generation of musical
sound
- Room acoustics
- Psychoacoustics and musical perception
- Analyses and Syntheses of sound and
musical compositions
The Musical
Acoustics Group was born in 1992, during the XXI
Congress of the Italian Association of Acoustics, in Praglia, close to Padua,
over the idea of his first chair ,
Domenico Stanzial.
